Based in the Netherlands, Frans van Buul is product manager for the static analysis (SAST) part of the Fortify portfolio. He has a long history with the product, having joined the Fortify team in 2014, acting as a presales consultant. Frans then led the Fortify presales organization across EMEA and LATAM, before stepping into his current product management role in early 2021.
Frans has a background in hands-on software development (particularly Java and other JVM languages) and still codes both professionally and as a hobby. He also has been a security consultant and auditor for nearly a decade, both at PwC and as an independent contractor. This dual background has prepared him very well for his work at Fortify
