My background is solidly Local Government, starting with Libraries, then I moved into Health & Safety, Human resources, Quality Management, and eventually Data Management.

For the last 14 years I have been the Information Team Leader with Matamata-Piako District Council. Over those 14 years I have directly been involved with the selection, implementation and on-going management of both our ERP & EDRMS systems. Which in our case is Civica’s Authority product, and TRIM, RM and CM.

My role also includes supporting teams that need to use digital tools, so that has included our Communications, Legal, Contracting, Democracy and Consenting teams, to name a few.

As part of the range of work my team undertakes we also are responsible for the Council Names and Property databases, registers that link to both people and land and overseeing data integrity across those key datasets.

Essentially I have fingers in every pie, we may be a smaller council but the range of work we do is broad and varied.

Safely I can say no 2 days are ever the same and life is never boring.
