Organizations can replace any Salesforce file with a link to the same document residing in Content Manager. Alternatively T4S can be configured to keep documents in both systems. Using automation, T4S allows the attachments in inbound emails to be auto-saved to Content Manager. Similarly, key Salesforce records can be auto-saved to Content Manager as HTML files. 

Users in Salesforce can also search Content Manager for documents, view and edit these locally, then save them back as a new version in Content Manager. The real value of T4S is using automation to make Content Manager and file management easier in Salesforce.
