Terms & Conditions for Micro Focus Technology Horoscope 2023 Contest and Prizes
Entry to Micro Focus Technology Horoscope 2023 (the “Event”), to be held on Friday the 15th of March 2023, is open to all India residents aged 18 years and over, who work in or are employed as an information technology professionals.
The following categories of participants are, however, excluded from the listed Contests:

In the event the winner falls under any of the excluded categories, the related giveaway will be withheld. The promoter of the Event is Micro Focus (now OpenText), India. Micro Focus (now OpenText) decision on the winners of the Contests shall be final and binding. Micro Focus (now OpenText) reserves the right to disqualify any individual who it has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other misconduct calculated to jeopardize the fair and proper conduct of the competitions.
Contest 1 – Social Media Contents.
To be eligible for Contest 1- Social Media, participants must share from their social media handle i.e., LinkedIn. They will earn one point each for the following: Sharing Micro Focus (now OpenText) post on LinkedIn, garnering likes/ reactions on the post, clicks received on the post and manually inviting their professional network using invite option through our registration page. Points will be accumulated on the dashboard by a third-party tool and will be shared with the participant after the Event. To be eligible for the giveaways, participants must attend the Micro Focus (now OpenText) Technology Horoscope 23 from the beginning until the end. Participants are free to attend one or more breakout sessions and engage with our subject matter experts (SMEs).
Give Away: 6 Samsung earbuds(3 for virtual session & 3 for In person session), 4 Noise Smart Watches( 2 for virtual session & 2 for in person session). Grand Prize – 2 Apple AirPods ( 1 for virtual session & 1 for in person session) are available to be won.
Contest 2 – Last Person Standing.
Give Away: 4 Smart watches( 2 for virtual session & 2 for in person session) & 4 earbuds ( 2 for virtual session & 2 for in person session) are available to be won. Micro Focus (now OpenText) will compile the entries no later than 05.00 pm on the day of the Event. Lucky draw will take place after successful completion of all three breakout sessions. Giveaways will be awarded on the basis of selection by 3rd party tool to randomly select names of winners. To be eligible for the giveaways, participants must attend the virtual Event from the beginning until the end and must be present at the time of the ‘spin the wheel’ contest. Participants are free to attend one or more breakout sessions and engage with our SMEs.
Each prize winner will be notified by telephone and email. Prizes cannot, in any circumstance be redeemed for cash or exchanged. Participants must ensure that receiving the giveaway(s) will not violate any internal policies or rules that the participant is bound by and will not breach any applicable laws that they are subject to.
Under Indian law, the India’s Prevention of Corruption Act (PCA) of 1988 prohibits “any gratification whatsoever, other than legal remuneration” when such gratification is given with the intention to (i) motivate, influence or reward a public servant to perform or forbear performance of an official act; (ii) show favour or disfavour to any persons; or (iii) render, or attempt to render, any service or disservice to a public servant”. In India, every public servant is also governed by the Conduct Rules of his or her service or organization. Hence Public sector & govt. employees will be excluded from contest.
Micro Focus (now OpenText) reserves the right to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardize the fair and proper conduct of the competition.
